For the Malcom In The Middle reboot on Disney+ I was tasked to replicate the logo for the production company 'New Satin City'. The source files were not accessible anymore so they needed someone to meticulously replicate the original logo and update the company name adding the word 'new'.

I pride myself on being a font geek but in this case my usual workflow of identifying fonts didn't work. Assuming that the main word has been hand drawn I had to go ahead and hand trace it in Adobe Illustrator. Which I had to do anyway for all the background elements. For the main reason to do all this which is adding the word 'new' I found a font that's very close to the original one and carefully tweaked it until it looked identical.

The final animation had over 50 layers (more than 200 layers including sub comps). The main goal was a pixel perfect replication of the original logo animation. The deliverable was approved within 15 minutes after first delivery with no notes which I'm very proud of.
